Rareview Coffee & Restaurant

Update: went back, had 2 entirely different dishes, and everything was wonderful. Thank you!We stumbled into this place on New Year's Day because the restaurant we planned on was packed to the gills. So glad we did, because the food was outstanding. Sat on the dock with a nice ocean breeze. We had the sour curry with fish, fried basil with chicken, and mixed fried vegetables. The prik nam pla was some of the better we've had - I don't know if it was the kind of fish sauce, but it was salty, sweet and sour perfection without being too briny. The fried basil was excellent, but my wife ended up using all the prik nam pla to spice it up. The fried mixed vegetables is a dish we like to get often, and this was one of our favorites. I couldn't finish the fish curry because the portion was so generous, and I genuinely felt bad because it was one of the best dishes I've had on Koh Lanta. It was spicy but had great depth of flavor, and the fish was excellent. The service was friendly and attentive, we were very pleased, and would/will definitely come here again.

Had the best khao soi here and the presentation was impressive! Biggest bowl of shrimp crackers for only 60 baht, quick service, decent price and a lovely view. Would definitely recommend

We had such a lovely time at Rareview. The Caramelized pork (Moo-Honk) is the MUST-try! Steamed fish was very good too. The chef made it just right for foreigners, not too spicy or too mild. The atmosphere is amazing. Well, see the pictures. We had Such a lovely dinner date thereIt’s very affordable and tasty foods restaurant. Totally recommended!

When i came the restaurant was empty due to low season. I ate a vegan kao soi with veggies and tofu. They replaced the egg noodles with rice noodles, which is not my first choice and it was still very good. The price is reasonable, i recommend it :)

The cafe in front leads to backyard restaurant with view on the sea. They do not lie to offer perhaps the best Khao Soi in the south. Looked fancy and tasted amazing!

Having stayed in the old town for a while and love food we have tried the vast majority of restaurants and I must say what great quality from them all. As our trip comes to an end I must say that Rareview comes out on top for authenticity. Thai, delicious, great service and cheap. I rest my case.

Immense khao soi and it looks amazing too! They serve pork here too which was nice as we could mix things up a bit after a week of beef or chicken! Food came fairly quickly, solid choice for the old town area
